How long does it take to charge with Piggibike?
Piggibike charges your 36V battery, for example, with around 2.4A or around 85 watts. If you have a 500Wh battery, simply divide the 500:85=5.88 hours. This means that Piggibike needs around 6 hours to go from 0% to 100%. So for 50% charge it takes around 3 hours. Which is a very good charging speed considering that we only work with 12V!
How does charging in the car work?
That is exactly the specialty of our charger. It is super flexible and can be used universally.
1. The charger is simply connected to the 12V socket (cigarette lighter) in the
Car connected. The removed e-bike battery can be charged in the vehicle while driving.
2. With our AHK adapter you can charge your battery directly in the bike while you transport it on the AHK on the bike rack.
3. You install Piggibike permanently in your vehicle/camper and connect it permanently to the power supply.
4. You connect Piggibike directly to a solar panel.
What is included in the starter set?
The starter set contains the Piggibike charger, a Bosch charging cable for your battery and a cable for the 12V socket (cigarette lighter).
Which e-bikes is the starter set suitable for?
The starter set is suitable for e-bikes with Bosch Type 2 batteries. The included Bosch charging cable ensures perfect compatibility.
Can I also use the charger at home?
The Piggibike charger is designed for mobile charging and only works with 12V or a solar panel. At home you simply use your normal 230V charger.
Are there any other accessories?
